The annual bonfire is Wednesday Oct 21st from 6:30 – 9pm on the CV high school football field. On the night of the bonfire, visitors can sample classic fall treats, fun activities and games, and enjoy the company of friends and family.

Come hungry because there will be plenty of food options. For anyone looking for something sweet, the Valley Voice Club will have a waffle stand where visitors can enjoy made-to-order waffles. According to senior Valerie Uuong, Impact club will be selling sweet items such as cake pops to support cancer causes, and POWER will be selling a variety of cultural foods, such as crab rangoon and Thai iced tea.

In addition to the food stands, some clubs run interactive activities and games. According to junior Chase Harding, the Model UN Club will be running a duck picking game that allows students to pick a duck for the chance of a prize. The Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) club will have drunk goggles to help raise awareness about drinking and driving.

If you’re looking for something to take away from the night, the LGBTQ club will be selling candles of all sorts of scents, according to Nevaeh Cordero (11). What better way to get into the fall mood than to get a candle to have your house smelling just like the fall?

Students involved in sports teams or other school groups have their time to shine as well. Senior Peyton Sensenig said she is most excited for “going up on stage for the Homecoming Court.”

The community bonfire is set to be a fun evening for all, with a range of stands providing food, treats, and entertainment. Visit the various stands and encourage the school clubs that make this event possible whether you are going to grab a snack or to try your luck at winning something, or to enjoy some friendly company.
